Can someone help me write some lyrics?

Some friends of mine are starting a band. They have several songs but desperatly need more. I'm not too lyrically inclined and am of no help. But I did promise. They need a song that would make for a great rock song.

I will feel really bad becuase they are counting on me. If you can write me some lyrics to a song I will give them 10 points.

Not to be rude but why in the world would I write you lyrics for YOU to become rich and famous from them and me to never get credit for my work?

BUT I will give you some hints on how to write lyrics. Lyrics are based on experiences. They are like poems. Think about something in your life that has impacted the way you think permanently. Was your dad a jerk? Write about it. Did you hate one of your teachers? Then write about how you felt. Are you in love? Then write about it. Don't be specific on the names of the people you are writing about but say something like:

"You were never there, you never cared

I want to tell you I am fine without you"

*******Just an example.

Just start with an idea and write it down. Even if you think it completely sucks. Write it down. All of it won't suck. Take parts of what turns out good and go from there.

I have many, many lyrics....and could write many, many more. And help you develop your skills as well. But, my first concern would be copyright issues. Your band goes big on my lyrics, I want to be recognized and compensated.
